Identify your users

Visitors are anonymous until you tell Heatlytics who they are. Use your own stable ID, and never an email address.

  1. Call identify on every page load

The identity lasts for the page load and isn’t stored, so call it each time, as soon as you know who it is.

    heatlytics.identify('user-123')
  2. Add properties after it

Properties are saved under whoever Heatlytics knows at that moment, so identify first.

    heatlytics.setUserProperties({ plan: 'pro', seats: 5 })
  3. Check the profile

Go to Analytics, then Users, and open the user. You’ll see their sessions, properties, device and signals.
