Track custom events

Clicks, inputs and form submits are captured automatically. Custom events cover what only your code knows, like a completed booking.

  1. Send the event

    Names can be up to 64 characters and can’t start with hl_. You can add up to 20 properties of text, number or true/false.

  2. Find it under Events

    Go to Analytics, then Events. Your event appears next to the automatic ones.

  3. Read the detail

    Open it to see occurrences, users, adoption, repeat rate and a daily trend.

  4. Break it down

    Use Breakdown to split it by country, device, page or one of its properties.
