Read a heatmap

1. Choose the page

   Open Heatmaps, then enter a URL or pick a popular page.

2. Choose a device

   Desktop, tablet and phone are shown one at a time, because the layouts differ.

3. Check the sample

   A page with fewer than 10 views shows a warning. Don’t read much into it yet.

4. Read the clicks

   The panel ranks elements by clicks. Use the clicks menu to see only rage clicks or dead clicks.

5. Check Scroll

   See what share of visitors reached each depth. Important content below the drop-off may go unseen.

6. See the people behind it

   Select View recordings on an element to watch the sessions that clicked it.
